  I have attended the early service twice as a new to the area, Missouri Synod Lutheran looking for a church. After not being greeted the first time, I introduced myself to the greeters on the way in the second time. They looked at me blankly and said "hello". After the service, I lingered a bit in my seat and not a sole near me extended a greeting. When I shook hands with the minister after the service, the the look in his eye was questioning, but he didn't say..."I don't believe I know you." I should have introduced myself, but I was testing to see if the ministers even knew their congregation in a church that large and I would say that they don't. I've been to several other area churches and the one that made me feel the most welcome, naturally, was the one a friend insisted I attend and the one I have no interest in joining...non-denominational and even larger than CLC. And congregations wonder why they are losing members! You have work to do, Carmel Lutheran, but you aren't alone!

  WOW......At first we were sure we would become just a number, but after walking in the first time....we have never looked back! The pastors and disciples welcomed us with open arms, and the disciple class trully helps make the church your home and encourages you to find your place here. CLC is a large Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. We joined Nearly 5years ago. Our church has shown us a home and given us, as well as all others a place to grow in our faith and expand our horizons as a people of Christ. The pastors bring the word of God to everyday real world. What a great job the Pastors have done making a pretty big church feel like a home. I have never felt more comfortable or at home in a church environment as I do here. This all coming from a man who found God later in life. There is a reason we live in Carmel, and I am convinced it is because God intended for us to grow at Carmel Lutheran Church! As the old saying goes "you get out of everything what you put into it" CLC is a blessing and welcomes all whom choose to worship and grow in their faith.

  God's word was delivered, people were very friendly, we enjoyed being there and will return when in town . Thanks for being there!

  We've sent both of our kids to the preschool and VBS. The church staff are great and the preschool staff is exceptional. I would recommend the preschool to anyone.
